I’ll put the spotlight on a talented young lady who shreds pretty hard. Go to 2:06 to watch the song start playing, but this is probably my favorite song by them. The riffs are pretty awesome and the solos near the end are so fucking good.

The reigning king of technical, historically-themed brutality, Nile, has announced a July 3rd release date for its upcoming studio album, At The Gate Of Sethu. The follow-up to Nile’s latest state-of-the-death-metal-art release, Those Whom the Gods Detest (2009), will once again be released via Nuclear Blast Records. Neil Kernon (Cannibal Corpse, Macabre) handled production duties for Nile’s seventh full-length.
Time for another brick-shittingly good time with Nile. I’m sure it’ll be better than Ithyphallic, but I wonder if it’ll be able to top Those Whom The Gods Detest. Comes out June 26 in Europe and July 3 in the US.
Back in January Allegaeon set out to begin recording their new album titled Formshifter and today they released a track from that album. It sounds pretty awesome, just like you would expect from Allegaeon. Formshifter will be released on May 8th.
It’s Hour of Penance, of course it’s brutal. Sounds like this album is going to sound absolutely incredible.

Decapitated’s debut album is a rager. What should really be blowing your mind is the fact that they were 16-20 years old at the time. Yeah, their now deceased drummer Vitek (R.I.P. my dude) was 16 years old. I was supposed to see them in late 2007 when Amon Amarth was on tour but that’s when Vitek died in the bus accident. Sad times, and I didn’t get to see the band play.
HOWEVER… you can see them play! They did release an album earlier this year titled Carnival is Forever and they’re headlining a tour for the release as well. Click HERE for a link to tour dates and shit! They’re a band you don’t want to miss, and that lineup is DEFINITELY a lineup you don’t want to miss. No fucking way.

Just found this song, and god fucking damn. I am so fucking glad I get to see them this Sunday. It’s so classical, intense, and the female vocals are a goddamn eerie touch.

This song was just released today and will be on their new album titled Agony. The album drops in North American on August 9th. This song is next level brutal death metal considering all the symphonic stuff in it. It’s fast as fuck and brutal as shit, while still remaining classical. The solo is incredible too.
