Someone had given me the heads up on tour dates for the 2012 Torture Tour (tour dates can be found here) and I would like to bring some real recognition to the April 14th date in Cincinatti, Ohio.

If you are within a reasonable driving distance it is very likely that this will be THE #1 show of the year. Why? It’s one of 2 dates on the Torture Tour that is in combination with another tour as well.  Cannibal Corpse, Exhumed, Abysmal Dawn, and Arkaik will be teaming up with The Black Dahlia Murder, Skeletonwitch, Nile, and Hour of Penance by doing a joint show.  Seriously, America will not have a more brutal show in 2012.  It’s not really possible unless some of these bands get together again in combination with another tour, because this much metal never tours together unless it’s for a huge tour such as Summer Slaughter (which has CC, BTBAM, and The Faceless confirmed so far).

Yeah, TBDM and Skeletonwitch isn’t just a UK tour most likely because of the reaction from the fans. This will be the #1 tour of the year and it’s not gonna hit many places, in my opinion.  What blows the most is the only show in Ohio doesn’t have Skeletonwitch, Nile, or Hour of Penance.

European people don’t worry, you guys still get TBDM and Skeletonwitch.

Feb 7 Update: Turns out that they will be doing a joint show in conjunction with the 2012 Torture Tour, showcasing not only this lineup but also Cannibal Corpse, Exhumed, Abysmal Dawn, and Arkaik. \m/

Skeletonwitch - The Infernal Resurrection

Here’s the other new song from their upcoming album, and it’s pretty sweet. The beginning throws you off because you think “oh god Skeletonwitch turned into complete god damn sallies!” Then you are wrong as fuck about half way through the song. This thing takes a huge turn straight into black metal and it’s definitely badass.

The album itself drops in Europe on October 7, the UK on October 10, North America on October 11, and Japan on October 19.

Skeletonwitch - Reduced to the Failure of Prayer

Here’s a track off their upcoming album titled Forever Abomination and it’s an ass kicker. Really makes you think of Skeletonwitch when you hear it. They’re still recording and producing the album in California and this one of the finished songs.
